Before formally forming the displayers in 2009, damian israel shiner was a primary contributor to several projects, including multiple recordings by his band shiner.jones — of which he was a songwriter, performer, and brand architect. Before that, a solo performer and contributor to the Chicago-based band Add Nine, and before that, frontman to The Generics.
